Caring for Kids Around Town:
Two of our staff attended the Cuyahoga Falls High School Career Night in February to speak with teens interested in pursuing a career as a Social Worker, Birth Parent Counselor or Child Centered Recruiter. In addition, Executive Director, Pat Ameling, spoke to the 6 sections of Health classes at Firestone High School in February dispelling the Myths about Adoption and Foster Care.

The Staff here at Caring for Kids is always available to speak to any community organizations, Houses of Worship, schools or other interested groups to talk about Adoption, Foster Care and Birth Parent services. Please contact us if you are interested in having us join you.
2012 in Review
A great big “Thank You!” to our wonderful Foster Families for the loving care they continue to provide the children in their care.
Caring for Kids served 60 children in our foster homes in 2012
Caring for Kids sends a heartfelt “Congratulations” to all of our adoptive families.
In 2012 Caring for Kids placed 46 infants into their Loving Adoptive homes.
Caring for Kids also placed 20 children ages 1-17 years old from the Public Child Welfare System into their Loving Forever Families in 2012.

Congrats! WWK Recruiter Allison Neumeister to be recognized for her outstanding work with abused and neglected children in Summit County.
On Thursday, November 8th, Allison will be honored by the Alliance of Summit County Childcaring Providers at the 6th Annual Special Recognition and Awards Breakfast for her superb work with abused and neglected children in Summit County. Allison will be one among twelve professionals in the county to receive this prestigious award. Great work Allison!

Thanks! Ronald McDonald House Charities grants CFK funds to buy backpacks, school supplies, stuffed animals and books for children in foster care.
Thank you Ronald McDonald House Charities for supporting CFK programs! With RMHC's help, CFK will provide backpacks and school supplies to school aged children as well as books and stuffed animals for younger children. Their continued support means so much to the agency and to the children in foster care who benefit from their generosity!

A great time was had by all at CFK’s 6th annual Great Strides Horse Camp at Victory Gallop!

Year to date 2012: Caring for Kids has placed 33 infants and 8 older children!
In 2011, CFK placed 38 infants and 21 older children!
We’ve hired two new Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Recruiters for Cuyahoga County.
We welcome Michael Lynn Blackburn, LSW, and Linda Chasteen, MSW, LISW, who will be working to find homes for waiting children right here in Northeast Ohio.
