Types of Donations

Event Sponsorship

Funds for this type of donation go directly towards sponsoring Caring for Kids’ Great Strides Horse Camp.  Twice each summer, with the help of a local equestrian facility, our agency runs a week long camp for foster and/or adoptive children.

Riding lessons, arts and crafts, hiking, and fishing are just a few of the activities the children participate in while at Horse Camp.  Your donation will go directly towards sponsoring a child(ren) so that he/she can attend this fabulous camp at no cost.  Giddy up!

Annual Appeal

Caring for Kids’ Annual Appeal supports a year of services for birth parents, adoptive families as well as foster children and parents.

Training Fund

Help us continue to provide outstanding training opportunities for the members of our community.  Funds allocated for training purposes will go directly towards the purchase of DVDs, books, trainer stipends, and other training materials needed for pre- and continuing foster care training as well as post-adoption issues.

The Edgar and Gladys Swinehart Memorial Fund

This gift will be dedicated in the memory of Ed and Gladys Swinehart, parents of our executive director, who supported loving options for children and strong families.  Your contribution will help support a variety of our agency’s special projects.
