We’re Ed, Evan and Luke, and we’d like to thank you for giving us the chance to introduce ourselves and share with you our dream of adding to our family. There’s no way we could possibly understand how hard this is for you, but we’re so moved by your love for your child and hope that our profile will bring you some encouragement and hope.

About Us

We’ve been together for fourteen years, having met through mutual friends while in college pursuing our goals of becoming teachers. There was an instant connection, and we became almost inseparable. Our loving and committed relationship as best friends and partners continues to grow, and we’re looking forward to living the rest of our lives together.

We both knew for a long time that we wanted to become dads, and adopting Evan three years ago has been, without a doubt, the best thing that has ever happened to us. Becoming his daddies has enhanced our lives and made them and our relationship even more special. He’s an amazing little boy, and we know that he’ll be an incredible big brother. We have an open adoption with his birth family, and we cherish this wonderful relationship.

We’re very excited to welcome another baby into our lives, and our entire family will surround him with so much love and support. We’re confident that with our huge hearts, strong values and belief in family, we’re prepared for whatever comes our way.

About Luke & Ed

Luke’s a 6th grade math teacher and has been teaching for 12 years. He enjoys walking with Evan and Ed, gardening and going to fairs annually. He loves working outside no matter the season. Whether it’s mowing the lawn, shoveling snow, raking leaves or planting flowers, the fresh air and seasonal weather is relaxing for Luke. Evan’s approaching the age where he can “help” Daddy complete some of these jobs, and knowing that he can teach Evan some of these simple pleasures is a treasure. He enjoys watching “Star Wars” and “Star Trek,” and he has some favorite new shows as well, like “Merlin”, “Southland” and “Gold Rush”. He’s a huge Elton John fan and has seen him in concert about eight times.

Ed’s a 3rd grade teacher and has been teaching for 12 years. He loves to read young adult and children’s literature, especially the Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series. He likes walking, shopping and spending time with family and friends. He likes to travel and love taking Evan to different places with Luke, like farms, zoos and the local library. He also loves being at home with them, spending time together playing, doing routine things like yard work and laundry or simply doing nothing. For Ed, home is the place where he wants to be most often and where he feel the happiest!

About Evan

Evan’s a smart, loving, energetic, funny, curious and very ticklish 3½ -year-old boy! It’s amazing how much he’s grown, changed and developed over the past three years and what he’s able to do these days! He likes to read and be read to, sing and dance. He loves playing with all sorts of toys, but his favorites include Legos, play dough, Matchbox cars and trucks, puzzles, his train set and his play kitchen. He also likes stuffed animals, and a whole bunch of them go to bed with him each night. He loves to do craft projects and draw and color with crayons and markers, and he likes using stickers. His current favorite TV shows are “PAW Patrol”, “Bubble Guppies”, and “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse”. Evan’s new favorite thing is to go to parades and see all the fire trucks, firefighters, police cars, police offices and marching bands. He’s also enjoyed going to the beach this summer and riding on his uncle’s boat.

About Our Home

We live in a beautiful Colonial house, and there’s plenty of room in our home as well as in our hearts for another child! There are three bedrooms and one-and-a-half bathrooms. There’s an eat-in kitchen where we normally together, and there’s a dining room where we eat when family and friends come over and where we celebrate birthdays and other holidays. We have a large living room where we probably spend most of our time playing, reading and watching TV. We also have a partially finished basement that we’ve turned into a play room, and we spend a lot of time there too. Outside, there’s a deck that overlooks our backyard where we’ve set up a small pool, sandbox and picnic table for Evan. We own about half an acre of land, and there are a couple large trees that are perfect for climbing that also drop quite a lot of leaves in the fall that make awesome piles for kids to play in. There’s also a nice front yard to play and have fun in. Our driveway is a good place to draw with sidewalk chalk, and Evan likes driving his jeep and tractor around here. Lately he’s been into sweeping sticks and leaves from the driveway. He calls it “brooming”, and he’s very good about making sure Luke and Ed do some of the “hard work” too!
