Thanks for reading our profile! We hope it gives you insight into who we are and what’s important to us. We know you must have many questions, so we’ve tried to answer as many as we could think of:

What super power would you pick?
-Paul: Telekensis, that is, moving things with my mind. How cool is that?
-Stephanie: Invisibility. 100%.

Is your house, like, the coolest house ever?
-P: It’s pretty awesome. Don’t get me wrong, it’s no mansion, but we’ve lived here about a year and we’ve made it our own. We think it’s the perfect house in a great school district to raise a kid.
-S: The coolest ever? Probably not. Haha. It’s a good house, though. We’ve gotten it ready to welcome a new baby and couldn’t be more excited.

Favorite color?
-P: Green like grass
-S: Purple. It’s been my favorite since I was 5.

Best way to spend an evening?
-P: Hmm, that’s a tough one. Spending time with my wife, playing board games, or watching a fire crackle in the backyard!
-S: I would most enjoy exploring a new restaurant or activity with Paul, or snuggled on the couch watching a movie.

Do you like long walks on the beach?
-P: Absolutely!
-S: Of course! I love traveling, especially to beaches.

What do you do for work?
-P: I’m a software engineer, so I write computer programs.
-S: I’m passionate about helping others. I’m fortunate to be in a job that allows me to counsel people.

Is faith important to you?
-P: For sure. I grew up in the church and spent some time as a youth pastor. We’re both pretty active in our current church and there are a lot of families and friends supporting us on our adoption journey.
-S: Yes, my faith in God is a strong source of peace and joy in my life.

Do you have any hobbies?
-P: I write fiction, play sports and music, and am trying to learn how to make things with wood.
-S:I like to cook, watch football, and hike. I ballroom dance but don’t get the chance very often. I really enjoy getting out and exploring places likes zoos, museums, and festivals.

What’s the best joke you can think of?
-P: 3 men walk into a bar, the 4th one ducks.
-S: Hahaha I don’t know jokes!

Soup and salad or steak and fries?
-P: Steak all day long! I love to grill so this is a no-brainer for me.
-S: It depends on what I’m in the mood for. Steak is one of my favorite foods though. Paul seriously grills the best steaks!

You guys aren’t boring, are you?
-P: Well, I was home schooled…
-S: No! Haha, we like to do a lot of fun things. We travel frequently, we go on hikes with our two dogs, we like movies and board games. Occasionally, we play music together (I play the violin and Paul plays the guitar). We love having fun with friends!

How long have you been married?
-P: 8 wonderful years!
-S: We met in college, but didn’t start dating for quite a while afterward. I was living in Chicago at the time and Paul in Ohio. We decided to make the long-distance thing work and the rest is history! Even through the difficult times, we have each other to hold onto. We root our love in faith in God and he sustains us.

What’s the worst kind of bug?
-P: I love bugs!
-S: Spiders, without a doubt. Yup, all spiders need to go away!
