About Us
We are Steven, Courtney, and Scarlett and we live in Columbus, Ohio. Our adoption journey started with the birth of Scarlett in 2021. We maintain an open relationship with her biological family and truly consider ourselves a “Modern Family”. Scarlett is an energetic, fun, sassy 2 year old who loves the water, playing outside, and exploring new things.
We met in 2009 and were married in 2014. When we found out we could not have children biologically, we decided adoption. The journey that led us to 2021 was tough at times, but we knew God had a plan. We balance each other out as a couple and as parents. While Courtney is outgoing, takes initiative, and is a leader, Steven is patient, caring, and protective. As parents, we work together as a team and give unconditional love and guidance.
We will use the support from our family and friends and celebrate your child every single day. We know we have more love to give and cannot wait to grow our family. Scarlett will be an amazing big sister and the bond they will share will be beautiful.
About Steven:
Steven is truly the nicest and most supportive person I have ever met. I am grateful and thankful that he is in my life. I fall in love with his strength and grace more and more everyday. He makes me laugh and holds me when I am sad. He is an amazing Father to Scarlett and their bond is truly one of a kind. He is a great teacher and shows Scarlett new things.
Steven is an excellent cook. He enjoys watching the cooking channel and tries to create new and delicious meals for us. He loves golfing and golfed in college.
He is outgoing and enjoys spending time with friends and family. He is the glue that holds our family together and I really have no idea what I would do without him.

About Courtney:
Courtney is a beautiful person both inside and out. She is always thinking about others and what she can do to help. As we have gone through this process she has shown amazing strength and commitment to make the family that we have dreamed of possible. At home, Courtney knows what she wants and is very good at getting her way! She enjoys dance parties with Scarlett, reading, shopping, and spending time with our closest friends. She is also extremely close with her extended family and speaks to or visits them every chance she can get. She will be the most amazing mother to a very lucky child.

About our Home/Pets:
We live in Bexley, OH. It is a small suburb of Columbus, OH. It is a great place to raise a family. Bexley has an excellent school system, beautiful neighborhoods to walk, and the community comes together to support one another. We live in a diverse area surrounded by people of all differences. Bexley is an accepting community and we are lucky to be surrounded by neighbors that are always there for each other.
We walk to the park with Scarlett and watch her play on the swings. Our extended family all live within walking distance and we enjoy family cookouts and dinners. The Farmers Market is where we go together as a family to pick new vegetables for our garden.
We have 2 dogs, Cooper and Bernie. They are the sweetest dogs. They love long walks, being petted, cuddles, eating treats, and meeting new dogs and their owners. They are always together and love to find the perfect sun beam in the house to rest in.
