Adoption is very special to us because it is in our extended family and we both have wanted to grow our family by adoption before we even met.

We welcomed our son Wesley into our family and finalized his adoption in 2023. The day we met Wesley was the single most joyful day of our lives and we did not know the love we could feel until we became parents. Everyday, we ask ourselves how it is possible to be so blessed as having Wesley in our lives. There is nothing like the joy he brings to us and we can not imagine our lives without him. We and everyone around us have fallen in love and unconditionally welcomed Wesley into our hearts. We look forward to adding to our family by adoption again!

WHY ADOPTION FOR US

We both grew up in northeastern Ohio and still live in the town we grew up in. 

We met through mutual friends during high school and have been best friends ever since. We have been married for 14 years and love doing life together. It is very important to us to spend as much time with our family as possible and we like to make the most out of every moment. We like to take walks, go to the park or library, go camping, swimming, have bonfires and friends/family get-togethers. We also collect lego and like to have parties where we all build lego sets together. We have taken trips to historical and fun locations and plan to take many in the future. We are fans of The Ohio State University and we play instruments. Joe plays the drums and Melissa plays piano. In the past we have played in small bands. Joe is a machinist. He has worked for the same company for 14 years. Melissa has worked doing accounting/bookkeeping for 16 years.

ABOUT US

Wesley is a happy toddler who loves to play outside all of the time.

When we can not be outside he loves being read to because books are his favorite inside toy. He also loves music and dances with so much energy. He is the sweetest little boy and he will be an awesome big brother. We cannot wait for Wesley to have a sibling to grow up with in our home.

Our home is a three bedroom ranch and it sits in a nice quiet suburb of a small city.

We enjoy our close knit neighborhood full of children. We are near a park full of life with a large playground. We enjoy going there to play and exercise.
