Hello!
Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know a little about me. The decision to make an adoption plan for your child is not only courageous and loving but surely a difficult choice. I am praying that through this journey you will find peace and comfort and I hope to offer you love and support, no matter what decision you make.
I know this is only a small glimpse of who I am but my hope is it shows you the immeasurable love and support your child would receive not only from myself but the incredible support system I have. I hope that it is in God’s plan for our paths to cross and we will have an opportunity to speak if you so choose!
I attended the same school district for all 13 years and still live in that same district. I work as an office manager in a dental office, with an amazing Doctor and staff. I have three nieces and one nephew. Family is very important to me. I like to think of myself as compassionate, loving, patient and resilient. I knew from a young age I wanted to be a mother. I have always loved children, so much so that I took the Red Cross babysitting course as soon as I was 12 and began babysitting. My family and friends call me the baby whisperer, as I have continuously loved on all the children. If the baby was upset or not sleeping, they could bring the child to me, and I could stop the tears, bring a smile or rock them to sleep. My favorite time of the year is fall and I love to snuggle up on a chilly day with a book and my favorite iced coffee. My favorite food is anything Mexican except beans!
You may have noticed I am only talking about myself and not a significant other. I will be raising your child as a single parent but don’t let that deter you. Your child will be so loved by an army full of my family and friends. The support and love we will receive will be endless.
Amanda or Mandy as her friends and family call her is our youngest of two children. We also have a son Brad, who is married with 2 children. Mandy has always been a kind, caring, loving and compassionate person. She is very faithful to her friends and family and would do anything for anyone. She loves her church family and is very active in church as the nursery leader. She is a hard worker and does well at her job in the dental field. She is very patient with children of all ages and always has been. As her parents we have always admired her strength and attitude to never give up on her dream to become a mother. She will be a wonderful mother and we cannot wait to share in her biggest dream.
She is a true blessing in our lives. There are so many descriptors that can be used to describe Mandy; loving, kind, gracious, thoughtful, mindful, conscientious, creative, hard worker, smart, patient, silly, passionate, servants’ heart, responsible, fun, honest, humble, great listener, beautiful, the list goes on and on. While all these words describe great qualities, there is a quality that is hard to summarize, and I feel is the most important. That quality is the quality of making those around here feel important, safe, heard, loved unconditionally and at peace. Imagine the best hug you have ever had and multiply that feeling. In the worst moments of my life Mandy has always been there and her hugs have provided such a calming peace. It is her most special quality. When I picture Mandy as a parent, I see the joy she brings to my life and my children’s life magnified, but more importantly I think of the compassion and love that the child she raises will feel when they are struggling. I picture her child confessing to a hard feeling or situation and Mandy holding them tight and comforting them, and then confronting the situation together. As a parent I know the value of the fun and silly, but the value in the moments of struggle is even more important and Mandy will have such a beautiful impact in the lives of the children she raises, and helps to raise as an Auntie. We are so incredibly grateful for her and cannot wait to support her and the child she raises as she has always supported us.
The home has 4 bedrooms with a finished basement. The house also has a large family room for family fun or a cozy movie night. I live in a family oriented, diverse neighborhood that is safe with a small park. There are many parks and activities close by. I also have a small 7-year-old shih tzu dog named Paisley Mae that I have had since she was a puppy. She is very sweet and lazy. She loves playing with my nieces and nephew or snuggling up on the couch.
