We met in 2015 when we worked together at a climbing gym.

We worked together for a couple of years and became friends. We started dating and our friendship was a strong foundation for our relationship; we bonded over our love of our families and nature. Most of our dates were outdoors, hiking, kayaking or riding our bikes. We got married at the end of 2018. We adopted our son in 2022, and we would love for him to grow up with a sibling in the home, so we are hoping to adopt again.

Why Adoption



BECCA: My dad grew up in foster care, and he didn’t meet any of his biological family until later in his life. I was a child when I saw him go through that process, and ever since then I knew I wanted to adopt. Before Jeremy and I got married, we discussed our thoughts on family, and he was on the same page. Shortly after we got married, we started taking classes to be licensed foster parents through our county. During that time, we found out a friend of a friend was making an adoption plan. We met with her and talked to her, and she later asked if we would be interested in becoming adoptive parents. Together we decided that we would, and a few months later, he was born, and that is how our son came into our life. The last year has been an incredible journey of love and learning, and we are deeply thankful to parent our son. He brings us so much joy every day. We maintain an open adoption with our son’s biological family and are open to doing so with any future children as well.

JEREMY: Becca and I both have a lot of siblings, Becca has 5 and I have 3. Our siblings relationships are really important to us, and we would love for our son to grow up with a sibling in the home. Since our son is adopted, we think it would be beneficial for him to have a sibling who is also adopted. While we know that every adoption story is unique, we believe that they will be able to relate to and support one another in a way that we can’t.

ABOUT US

Jeremy is patient, diligent, and a problem-solver.

He is a good listener and great at engaging with anyone in conversation. He works in manufacturing, making climbing holds for climbing walls. In his free time, he likes to be outside, be fixing something, or be cuddling his dog and watching a movie.

Becca is loyal, steady and a learner. 

She is always learning something new, and she loves to share time with the people she loves. Becca is a professor. She teaches English as a Second Language, and she can speak Spanish. In her free time, she likes to play sports, tend to her garden, and eat delicious food with friends and family.

ABOUT Becca

Our home is special to us because we fixed it up ourselves with a lot of time, energy and love.

We bought our house in 2019. It was in bad condition, but we loved the location. Over a period of two and a half years, we spend most of our free time repairing the house with the help of Jeremy’s dad. Now, it is our cozy home. It is right next to a big park, so it feels like we are in the woods, but we also have city access- the best of both worlds.

While we love our house, it is our people that make it feel like a home. We are blessed to have a loving and diverse group of family and friends who live life with us and support us. We think they are our biggest strength. We like to joke that our son has more aunties than anyone in the world, because he has so many people (bio family, adoptive family, and friend family) who love him. Any child who joins our family will be met with this same love and acceptance.

Finally, we can’t forget about our pup- we have a dog, named Rooster. She is a little over a year old and she loves everyone, especially her little brother.
