What It Is?

IN THE COMMUNITY

Fill the Pool for School is an opportunity for community partners to make a big difference in the lives of children in foster care by providing the necessary school supplies for them to have a successful time going back to school!

Caring for Kids will drop off 1 or 2 (some groups like to make it into a competition) kiddie pools the first week of June to the group’s location and will provide them with informational postcards so that their people can have access to the supply list with all CFK’s needs.

When Is It?

The group can determine how long in June and July they want their drive to last and CFK will plan to pick up the pools and supplies on or before July 31

Where do the Supplies Go?

The book bags are packed and delivered to all of our youth in foster care in early August so that their foster parents do not have to worry about setting their children up for success with the new school year.

In Columbus, CFK partners with Fostering Love, Alicia’s Closet and Stitched Together to hold a back to school bash in early August where families can connect, have fun and get their backpacks.
