Amy Woodside
Amy graduated from Ohio University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Services. After Amy graduated she worked as a family support specialist with a Community Action Head Start working with at risk youth and their families. Amy then went on to work with the County Board of Developmental Disabilities working with families in the birth to five population. During this time Amy became a licensed foster to adopt parent for a local public child welfare agency. Amy is an adoptive parent of two children. Amy went on to work as an Adoption Assessor and Adoption Caseworker for a local Public Children Services Board. Amy enjoyed working, supporting and making connections to foster to adopt families.
Amy joined Caring for Kids as a Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Recruiter in January 2023. Amy looks forward to building trust and connections to children and families she serves. Amy shares the same belief as Wendy’s Wonderful Kids that “every child is adoptable”. Amy is passionate about working with youth to identify supports and connections that can lead to permanency.
