- To provide post adoption support services to birth families and adoptive families.
Our History
Caring for Kids, Inc. was founded in 1995 by former foster parents. The agency began as a foster care only agency, but soon saw the need to find permanent forever families for children in the permanent custody of the child welfare system and began completing adoptions of children waiting in foster care. In 2010 Caring for Kids, Inc. expanded and began the private infant adoption program to serve members of the community that would like to make an adoption plan for their child. In 2011 Caring for Kids, Inc. partnered with the Dave Thomas Foundation to employ a Wendy’s Wonderful Kids recruiters. Today Caring for Kids serves 250+ children annually. Caring for Kids’ main office is located in Cuyahoga Falls (Akron), and has satellite offices in Columbus. Caring for Kids, Inc. serves families and children throughout the entire state of Ohio.
What It Is?
Fill the Pool for School is an opportunity for community partners to make a big difference in the lives of children in foster care by providing the necessary school supplies for them to have a successful time going back to school!
Caring for Kids will drop off 1 or 2 (some groups like to make it into a competition) kiddie pools the first week of June to the group’s location and will provide them with informational postcards so that their people can have access to the supply list with all CFK’s needs.
