About Caring For Kids, Inc.

Caring for Kids, Inc. is a private, non-profit adoption, foster care, and birth parent services agency licensed in the state of Ohio operating since 1995. We believe that each child, regardless of gender, race, nationality or special need deserves a family.

Our mission is to provide children of all ages with the safety and security of a healthy and loving family. Our experienced and professional team is committed to providing the most complete and compassionate services to birth families, adoptive families and foster families.

Ohio Adoptive Agency and Foster Care Agency Services

Based in northeast and central Ohio, we provide adoption and foster care services.

Caring for Kids believes excellent communication is the foundation of every good relationship, therefore we make communication with our clients and their families our highest priority.

The Caring for Kids team is available to guide families, answer questions, and offer support before, during, and after adoptive and foster placements.  No question is too small for us to answer!  Many of our staff members have personally adopted and/or fostered children, allowing them to provide families with first hand insight.

We know your family has many available options when choosing an adoption and/or foster care agency, but we believe that our experience and compassion help us stand out from the rest.  The Caring for Kids team looks forward to hearing from you and helping your family find fulfillment through adoption and/or foster care.  Contact our office to get started today!

Our Objectives

Our History

Caring for Kids, Inc. was founded in 1995 by former foster parents. The agency began as a foster care only agency, but soon saw the need to find permanent forever families for children in the permanent custody of the child welfare system and began completing adoptions of children waiting in foster care. In 2010 Caring for Kids, Inc. expanded and began the private infant adoption program to serve members of the community that would like to make an adoption plan for their child. In 2011 Caring for Kids, Inc. partnered with the Dave Thomas Foundation to employ a Wendy’s Wonderful Kids recruiters. Today Caring for Kids serves 250+ children annually. Caring for Kids’ main office is located in Cuyahoga Falls (Akron), and has satellite offices in Columbus. Caring for Kids, Inc. serves families and children throughout the entire state of Ohio.

Fill the Pool for School

What It Is?

Fill the Pool for School is an opportunity for community partners to make a big difference in the lives of children in foster care by providing the necessary school supplies for them to have a successful time going back to school!

Caring for Kids will drop off 1 or 2 (some groups like to make it into a competition) kiddie pools the first week of June to the group’s location and will provide them with informational postcards so that their people can have access to the supply list with all CFK’s needs.

When Is It?

The group can determine how long in June and July they want their drive to last and CFK will plan to pick up the pools and supplies on or before July 31
